BristolCon Fringe presents George Mann and Anna Smith Spark

George Mann and Anna Spark Smith will give readings from their work on Monday, March 18th, at The Gryphon, 41, Colton Street, bristol, Bs1 5AP 7-30pm until about 9pm. Doors open at 7pm.

The event is free to attend and there will be a Q&A after the readings where the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions to the authors.

Books on the Hill will be selling books as always, as well as some splendid teas.

George Mann is a Sunday Times bestselling novelist and scriptwriter.

He’s the author of the Newbury & Hobbes Victorian mystery series, as well as four novels about a 1920s vigilante known as The Ghost. He’s also written bestselling Doctor Who novels, new adventures for Sherlock Holmes and the supernatural crime series, Wychwood.

His comic writing includes extensive work on Doctor Who, Dark Souls, Warhammer 40,000, a creator-owned series based on Newbury & Hobbes, as well as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for younger readers.

He’s written audio scripts for Doctor Who, Blake’s 7, Sherlock Holmes, Warhammer 40,000 and more.

As Editor, he’s assembled four anthologies of original Sherlock Holmes fiction, as well as multiple volumes of The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction and The Solaris Book of New Fantasy.

Anna Smith Spark is the author of

  • the critically acclaimed, Gemmell and BSF awards shortlisted Empires of Dust grimdark epic fantasy series The Court of Broken Knives, The Tower of Living and Dying and The House of Sacrifice (HarperVoyager UK /Orbit US/Can).

Her favourite authors are Mary Renault, R Scott Bakker and M. John
Harrison. Previous jobs include English teacher, petty bureaucrat and fetish model.
