The Committee would like to express their sadness at the passing of Ian Watson.  Ian was never a guest of honour at BristolCon, and that's our loss.  We are very sad that we will never have the opportunity to invite him.

Ian wrote many much-loved books, and was a regular attendee at conventions.  He was always great fun to chat with, and an amusing speaker.  He will be much missed by SF fandom.
