About Susie Williamson

Susie is the author of the fantasy series, Blood Gift Chronicles, published by Stairwell Books. The series begins with Return of the Mantra and The Warder. Both titles won 2021 Firebird Book Awards. Themes include wildlife & the environment, social justice & marginalisation, magic, animism, and dragons. Susie is currently working on Book 3 of her series. She is inspired by authors such as Ursula Le Guin, Octavia Butler, and Nnedi Okorafor. She loves inventive worlds, diverse characters, and thought provoking, contemporary themes. She is also an artist, a poet, and writes short fiction mainly in the horror genre. Her shorts are represented in the Dreamcatcher Magazine, and The Other Stories podcast, among others.
