March 2nd, 2019 · No Comments

Foyles, Cabot Circus, Bristol, are holding a literary science fiction event on Friday 15th March 7-30pm to 9-00pm, cost £3.

It is to launch a debut novel by Patrick Edwards, author of the bold and chilling new dystopia, Ruin’s Wake.

In Ruin’s Wake, Patrick Edwards imagines a world under the boot of a totalitarian government, a world with no history and whose inhabitants exist at the mercy of the state. Join Patrick as he discusses his fascination with the future, and the real world inspirations for his novel.

Patrick Edwards lives in Bristol and has never grown out of his fascination with science and the future. In 2014, he decided to give writing a go and graduated from the Bath Spa University Creative Writing MA with distinction. His first novel, Ruin’s Wake, was inspired by the works of Iain M. Banks and modern-day North Korea, and is ideal for fans of Iain M. Banks, Adrian Tchaikovsky and David Mitchell.

Tickets are available from the Foyles website here or can be bought directly from Foyles Cabot Circus, SU21, Bridgstowe Street, BS1 3BH.
