August Fringe Readings

September 10th, 2013 · No Comments

We now have podcasts available of the two readings from our August Fringe event. The readers are Myfanwy Rodman and Gareth L. Powell.

The sound quality on these is a bit poor due to the amount of background noise in the Shakespeare. We are investigating getting a proper audio system for the September event.

Gareth’s reading is the first ever public outing for his forthcoming novel, Hive Monkey. It is slightly spoilery if you haven’t read Ack-Ack Macaque, and of course, as if features everyone favourite monkey, it is rather sweary.

Gareth L. Powell

Myfanwy Rodman has a creative writing degree and is currently working on an epic fantasy novel, amongst other projects. She will have a story in the forthcoming anthology, Airship Shaped and Bristol Fashion.

Gareth L. Powell is the author of the novels Hive Monkey, Ack-Ack Macaque, The Recollection and Silversands, and the short story collection The Last Reef and Other Stories. His books have been favourably reviewed in The Guardian and, in 2007, one of his stories came top of the Interzone annual readers’ poll for best short story of the year.
