Your website has one very big flaw (one which it shares with a number of convention websites) — the date of the thing! Or rather the lack of information about that date, especially if you have graphics turned off (or are using text-to-speech or a non-graphics browser). The only place I can find the date at all is in the graphic of that banner (and not in the ALT text which simply says the useless “BristolCon header image”).
