About Nicola Alter

Nicola is a writer and blogger with a love of fantasy and science fiction of all kinds. She grew up in a small Australian country town and spent part of her childhood in India. Now she lives in Germany, where she is enjoying all the castles and dark folk tales the Black Forest has to offer. She has a BFA in Film and Television and an MPhil in Creative Writing, and has worked as a TV production assistant, a librarian at a foreign language teaching and translation institute, and a tutor of creative writing at The University of Queensland. Her articles have been published on Fantasy Faction and Tor Online Germany, and she currently has two novels on submission: an epic fantasy romance and a speculative thriller with shades of dark academia, both inspired by her fascination with different languages, cultures and worlds.
