Justin Newland

Justin Newland is a Capricorn. Hey, someone has to be one. He lives with his partner in plain sight of the rolling Mendip Hills and writes historical fiction with a supernatural bent.

He has published short stories in anthologies including ‘The Fool of Abbot’s Leigh’ in ‘Hidden Bristol’, ‘The Fisher of Men’ in ‘North by South West,’ and ‘Vallum Hadriani’ in ‘The Dark Half of the Year.’

Excerpts of his work have entertained listeners at readings over the last few years at various events including the Bristol Word of Mouth, Bristol Festival of Literature, EasterCon and previous incarnations of Bristol Con.

His debut novel, a pre-apocalyptic fantasy entitled ‘The Genes of Isis,’ was published in February 2017 by Silverwood Books. For more on that, visit www.thegenesofisis.com. For more on Justin, visit www.justinnewland.com.

His WIP is a novel set in Ming Dynasty China. And yes, it does feature dragons, but not as you know them.
